On April 26, Thursday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the State Department of Culture will promote the first meeting of the “Future in Culture” project, to present the challenges of the development of the X-Reality ecosystem in the State of São Paulo .

X-Reality is all technology-mediated experiences that combine digital and biological realities, such as virtual reality, augmented reality or mixed reality. With these tools, users generate other forms of reality, bringing digital objects to the physical world and vice versa, generating new artistic and cultural possibilities.

Among the participants are members of XRBR, X-reality hub created by professionals and supported by companies on a voluntary basis, with the objective of joining efforts and boosting this emerging and challenging Brazilian market. The meeting will also feature a representative of the C2 Fair, in Montreal/Canada, in addition to the presence of Patricia Penna, deputy secretary for State Culture, Era Transmídia and Sergio Cerrado, director of REC Brasil, Creative Economy Network.

During the event, a summary of the stage of X-reality productions and market in Brazil and the difficulties of the sector within the context of the state and national Creative Economy will be presented. Participants will also address the need to build a Brazilian X-Reality hub and an overview of the current moment of public policies for the sector, in addition to the possibilities of exchanging international experiences with the national X-reality creative ecosystem.
